My Photos

For me it’s all about natural, everyday details and taking beautiful and fun photographs. While I do include some styled and posed shots most will be snapped in the moment and are totally unstaged.

What can I expect in a session?

For most of the photo shoot I will stay out of the way and capture natural and unposed moments that reflect you and your family. No airs and graces needed, real life is where it’s at and that’s what I aim to document.

Where are sessions held?

You can choose to have a photo shoot in your own home where you feel the most comfortable or in the great outdoors. If you go for a home session I’m not there to do an interior shoot so the style of your house really doesn’t matter! It’s all about you and your family.

How far do you travel for photo sessions?

I’m based in East Yorkshire, and will travel across Yorkshire for a shoot. The first 20 miles each way from my DN14 base is included in the price, with an additional cost of 45p a mile for places further afield. If you’re interested in commissioning me for work outside of my immediate area please get in touch and we can discuss it further.

How do we book with you?

Either fill in the form on my contact page, drop me an email or give me a call. From there we can work out any suitable dates and have a chat about what sort of session you are interested in before finalising the booking with a deposit and signing a contract.

How long does a session last?

For shoots with babies I allow around two hours so there is plenty of time for feeds and nappy changes. My family sessions in both home and outdoor locations last up to 1.5 hours. There are more details on what each session includes on the Prices page.

How many photos will we receive?

I will be constantly snapping away through your session but I only pick the very best of the best to make sure every photo is one you will treasure and love to frame. On average you will receive 40-70 images which will all be professionally edited to make sure you have lots of variety.

Are you on social media?

Yes! You can find me on Facebook and I’m also on Instagram and Twitter.

Why are you called Albert and Me?

That’s an easy one! My baby boy is Albert and while hanging out with him (and taking hundreds of photos of him) during my maternity leave, I had the idea of turning what I loved doing into a business. Hence the name, Albert and Me!

Who owns the rights to the images you take?

In keeping with the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, I own the rights to all the images taken during your session. This means I can use the images on my social media pages and in my portfolio to show the quality and variety of my work to future clients. If you would like to buy the copyright to any of the images from your shoot please let me know and we can make arrangements.
